Mario happens to be the most popular and well known video game character of all time. The secton below is dedicated to one of my childhood favorite pass times, playing through the wonderful world of the Mario bros. Mario has grown in popularity through the years, and I have followed his adventures through the many games offered by Nintendo. Each of these sprites below have a special place in my heart. To see the sprites in a larger view, hover the mouse over the description part of the table. the "nth" method of numbering rows is used to create every other row in green. White space wrap has been used to keep the table a uniformed size, to see the additional informaton in the description part of the table, hover the mouse over the desired row.
|Luigi||Luigi first appeared in the 1983 arcade game Mario Bros. as the character controlled by the second player, and retained this role in Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and other titles.|
|Peach||Peachs personality is generally sweet and well mannered. In most games she is portrayed as selfless, perky and generous.|
|Goomba||They are known in Japan as Kuribo, are a species of sentient mushrooms from Nintendos Mario franchise. They first appeared in the NES video game Super Mario Bros. as the first enemy players encounter.|
|Koopa Troop||Koopa Troopas have appeared in some form starting with the original Super Mario Bros. in 1985 where it also introduced the Paratroopa, a version of the Koopa Troopa with wings designed by Takashi Tezuka|
|Bowser||His ultimate goals are to kidnap and marry Princess Peach, defeat Mario, and conquer the fictional Mushroom Kingdom. Since his debut, he has appeared in almost every Mario franchise game, usually serving as the main antagonist.|
